Why this film?
It is estimated that over 50% of those affected by war zones suffer from severe mental health disorders.
Mental health issues are often overshadowed by the immediate physical and infrastructural devastation of war. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in five people in conflict zones suffers from mental health conditions. "The Unknown" seeks to raise awareness about the critical need for mental health support in these regions. By showcasing the real-life stories of those affected, the documentary aims to inspire empathy, advocate for better mental health care, and highlight the importance of psychological resilience and support systems in conflict and post-war settings.
